That's right "EG" grade. I sent two halves to Kody Kearcher and got home today to a surprise Fedex home delivery and excatly what I had hoped for - I dare say better than I had hoped for. Big thanks to Kody.

I bought a 28 in Krupp Barreled 16 ga. It was missing all the internals, trigger group and buttstock. I found an original 20 ga G grade English stocked gun with ultra thin barrels and made the choice to take two and make one.
This was a late 16 E with clamshell release and set screw in the top tang. I am 99% sure it was originally a straight grip gun... The top tang had no curve to it as I feel is seen on the PG guns.
The stock on the G had not been cut but didn't have an original buttplate so I took the liberty of classing it up with a checkered horn buttplate. Kody did a great job cleaning up what I asked to be cleaned and making the piece look period correct in my opinion. I didn't want a restored gun. He made, timed, and engraved all the action screws, Fit and glassed the stock head, for and checkered the horn butt, added the oval to the G grade stock. Cleaned up the stock spectacularly- I was shocked by the grain, and make all the donor parts fit and work correctly.

I think this gun is gorgeous . Straight stock Lefevers are just pure class.

Congratulations on a fantastic project bringing back another Lefever that came out spectacular.
