Here are a few pics of an old H grade in action in Illinois this season. Check out the shot leaving the gun, pretty neat I thought.

J Rod;
What part of Illinois was this taken in. My wife grew up in a small town named Sesser near current Rend Lake of Southern IL. She left the area prior to the impounding of the lake, though she still has family there. I have hunted there a bit on visits, but mainly for Duck.

Thanks Jack.

Miller, this is in the central part of Illinois near Springfield on a big state owned chunk of ground. The Dept of Conservation puts out the pheasant and we don't really have sustainable wild ones in that area. They have tried to establish them, but have never had any luck. There are fair quail and woodcock populations that keep things lively. I've hunted down by Rend Lake and is a beautiful part of the state (about the only beautiful part of the state actually).

Thought I'd throw out a few pics of a nice day afield today with good friends, Gus (my old Brittany), and my go-to field gun, an early G grade.

Anybody else getting out with their Lefevers this fall? Saw a few of you in the last newsletter. Let's get some more pics up here showing the old guns doing what they are supposed to.
