The Gun is at Bucks now for a tune up and to see what he can do with a previous repair to the wrist of the butt stock . I am hoping to get it back for Turkey season ( probably wishful thinking )

What a remarkable gun!! I now have a G grade that I really like. It has F/F chokes and might get carried during turkey season. I took quite a few grouse and pheasant with it using spreaders.
Congratulations on that find.

Thanks 3birddogs ,

It's really is a beautiful gun , that fits me perfectly, cant wait to get it back and go hunting with it . It is choked I/C and Full .

The gun used to belong to one of our members that sold it when he moved to Mexico . I bought from the guy he sold it to. I happen to find the gun one day when reading over some of the old threads . I spoke to Chuck ( nice guy ) via email and he gave the low down .

Fn16ga,
Those 16g Lefever's are just about the ideal companions for an Upland stroll in the grouse or woodcock coverts! Your particular gun and the old Lefever Forum threads that Chuck first posted, had me drooling for owning my own very first Lefever. I believe this is one of the most well designed of the Lefever guns & patents & this Chuck (w/ beautiful grained stock) owned & now yours, Lefever are to be cherished & hunted. Interestingly my first FE Lefever gun was a 12g, double-hooked cocker, Sr. # 233xx w/ Spaniel head forearm insert & same engraved side plates! Interestingly, I own a 16g G grade w/28" Damascus barrels which happens to also be choked imp. Cyl. & Full, which seems to be quite common in these guns, especially in 16g?
Well fn16ga I'am sure you will come to love you first FE 16g Lefever. One step in the woodlands with that sweet 16g Lefever tucked in your arms will be the beginning of great memories to come!
Enjoy!

Great gun. Chuck took many West Kansas pheasants with your gun. I hope you have as much fun with it as Chuck did.

Thanks everybody . As soon as I get it back from Buck , Hopefully I will get to have as much fun or more with it as Chuck did. I plan on taking it to Montana next September for Huns, Sharptails and Sage Grouse and on a lot more hunting adventures ,such as Turkey, snipe , quail and dove down here in Florida .
