Beautiful!!!!!! I'm still looking for a Lefever. Tell us the spec's. I assume it's a 12 ga. Nice wood also. Who did the restoration, unless of course to my semi-untrained eye it has been a closet queen and very late assembled. Envy is abundant!!! Regards, Lee.

Thanks Lee, unfortunately I have no idea about the finish. I am not naive enough to believe it original, but the seller knew less than zero about the gun. It always makes me wonder what a gun has seen in the last 100 years.
It is a D grade ejector gun, 30 inch damascus choked Full and Full. Labeled Ithaca, NY. It has a good bit of cast in the stock but feels right nice to mount.

Imagine my surprise, to find this gun in a Double Gun Journal article by Mr. Buck Hamlin.

I am working on a OE grade "Elsie" and talked to Buck about recasing it since he is very close to me here in Eastern Kansas. I want to have my Lefever G Grade done also. If this is an example of his color hardening I'm in! Does anybody else have any pix of his work that is known to be his? I have been around this long enough to know the frames can move ever so slightly requiring the barrels to be re-faced. Have any of you guys had any experiences along these lines? Thanks, Lee. Smile
