This looks to be a DS or I grade. By photo impression the barrels may have been cut.

It was made in about 1906. If the barrels have been cut, as I think they have, and its a 12 gauge, it would be worth about $400 at the most.
I would have somebody who knows about barrels look at it before shooting it.

It looks like it may have steel barrels which is a plus amigo, but like Dr. Bob says you should have them checked for dents, pits, the length of the chambers, and hopefully how thick the barrel walls are by a competent gunsmith. That will determine how safe it is to shoot. BUT, I'll wager it has been shot with modern shells in it's life past. You don't say where in Mexico you live so I can't help you with locating a good gunsmith. At the worst, keep it oiled, look at it occasionally and remember it was a gift from your father. Salud! Lee.

De nada!! I am suprised you can own something like that in Mexico for some reason. I was in your country last year fram Juarez to El Fuerte and Chihuaha and thought only .22 caliber weapons could be owned. Bienvenido, Lee.
